Student information day - Open Educational Resources and E-Learning 07.07.2016, Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina

The BAEKTEL project content and results were disseminated at the Info day held at University of Banja Luka on July 7th, 2016. The presentation was attended by students and academic staff from Faculties at University of Banja Luka. This presentation was a part of BAEKTEL Training meeting held from 6th to 8th July, so the present partners also attended.

During Info day students had opportunity to see purpose and activities of the BAEKTEL TEMPUS project as well as developed courses and resources on project’s edX portal. Main focus was on concept of open educational resources, e-learning and Berlin declaration along with their use in BAEKTEL project. Also, students were able to learn about the development of their own high quality open educational resources (OER) and publishing at BAEKTEL edX platform.

Special attention was on importance of motivation of the creators of OER. Students, teachers and academic staff discussed options for recognition of good and innovative teaching methods through support of University and other institutions. These support could be, for example, change of the Regulations of the academic staff election, reviewing electronic courses that would become the equivalent of printed textbooks and other similar stimulations that would give benefits and encouragement for teachers to be a part of OER creation.
