Student information day - Open Educational Resources and E-Learning Banja Luka

The BAEKTEL project content and results were disseminated at the Info day held at University of Banja Luka on July 7th, 2016. The presentation was attended by students and academic staff from Faculties at University of Banja Luka. This presentation was a part of BAEKTEL Training meeting held from 6th to 8th July, so the present partners also attended. During Info day students had opportunity to see purpose and activities of the BAEKTEL TEMPUS project as well as developed courses and resources on project’s edX portal.

HAKATON 2016

On Saturday, May 28, at the Faculty of Information Technology (FIT), University "Mediterranean" Podgorica organized competition HAKATON 2016 for high school and university students . The theme of this year's HAKATON was the creation of Online Educational Resources using free and open source software. The aim of the competition is to promote the importance and possibilities of online education to young people and increase awareness and importance of the development of OER . HAKATON 2016 was organized with the support of BAEKTEL project.

Info day at University "Mediterannean"

Info Day for students was organized on 25 May 2016, at the Faculty of Information Technology, University "Mediterannean . The presentation was attended by students from all three Universities in Montenegro. During Info Day, students were introduced to purpose and activities of the BAEKTEL project. During practical workshop organized by BAKTEL team members, students were able to learn about the development of open educational resources (OER) at edX platform . Special attention was on increasing awareness and importance of the development of OER , and students had opportunity to discuss the potential ways to motivate teachers and students to create OER.

Workshop regional meeting Belgrade

The meeting was organized as a two days’ workshop with regional partners from WB. It took place at University of Belgrade - Faculty of Mining and Geology, Đušina 7, 11000 Belgrade, Serbia, 1st floor, room 152.

Apart from WB partners, colleagues from TEMPUS CaSa project Vesna Poleksić and Milevica Bojović were present and they took active part in the workshop.

InfoDay

On 20 April 2016, InfoDay was held for students at the Faculty of Technical Sciences Čačak, University of Kragujevac. The presentation of the info day was attended by students of Information Technology and Technics and Informatics. Students were able to learn about the development of open educational resources (OER), as well as the purpose and activities of the BAEKTEl project. At the Infoday are shown created open educational resources which are implemented at edX platform. The importance of the development of OER was promoted on this occasion, and students had opportunity to discuss the potential ways to motivate teachers and students to create OER.

2nd BAEKTEL Consortium Meeting

The BAEKTEL's 2nd Consortium Meeting will be held from April 13th to 15th April, 2016 in Matera (Italy). The hosting Institution and Project Coordinator, University of Basilicata, welcomes the Partners. Attendees are invited to fill-in the participation survey, in the project's SP portal.

National seminar about teaching mathematics and computer science in primary and secondary schools

On February 13th, was held National seminar about the teaching of mathematics and computer science in primary and secondary schools. Within Workshop: Educational platforms in teaching, BAEKTEL TEMPUS was presented.

2nd Internet of Education workshop 2015

Professor Ivan Obradović presented “BAEKTEL – An OER Network” at the 2nd Internet of Education Conference 2015, held in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Hercegovina, on September 18 2015. The conference was organized by Knowledge 4 All Foundation Ltd., Microsoft Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ministry Of Education, Science and Youth of the Canton of Sarajevo and UNESCO Chair on Open Technologies for Open Educational Resources and Open Learning. The goal of this event was to bring together researchers and policy makers from both university and academia to present methods for improving the effectiveness of online and open education but also promote discussion of the implications of MOOCs and new EduTech trends for classical university education, especially in the South-East European region.

Training meeting, Bari June 11-12, 2015

The Training meeting in Bari has been a two days meeting centred around knowledge and learning from the perspective of the Labor Market players (i.e. Companies). This is a particular and very important perspective for the BAEKTEL project. The Baektel platform will be effective and sustainable only if the project team understands the needs and expectations of the companies, and addresses tailored solutions in the development of the platform and in the production of OER.

Technical and Monitoring meeting, Banja Luka, April 20-21, 2015

A two days meeting was held Banja Luka, on April 20-12, 2015. The first they was dedicated to technical issues with the participation of all WB partners as well as the representative of the coordinator. On the second day a monitoring visit of the Erasmus+ Tempus office of Bosnia and Herzegovina took place also with the participation of partners from other WB countries and representative of the project coordinator.

Pedagogical personal development in the era of Information technologies

The Tempus project BAEKTEL was presented in the introductory presentation at the international conference “Pedagogical personal development in the era of Information technologies” by prof. Danijela Milosevic, University of Kragujevac. The conference was held at the International University of Novi Pazar, and organized by its Department for computer sciences and Department of pedagogical sciences. The results of the Tempus BAEKTEL project were disseminated, as well as the future initiatives. Students and teaching staff from Novi Pazar and surrounding areas attended the conference. After the presentation there was a long discussion by students and teaching staff who participated at the conference.

YU INFO 2015 in Kopaonik

Over 300 participants have gathered together on the twenty first YU INFO conference held in the Kopaonik Congress Center in the period March 8-11, 2015. The conference confirmed the continuity of the gathering of experts in the field of information and communication technologies. 99 original, previously unpublished papers with scientific and technical contributions were accepted. The quality of papers and corresponding presentations delivered at the conference were at a high level.

Worshop, Tuzla, March 12-13 2015

Participants welcomed the organizer of the workshop Adila Nuric and wished all of them welcome to Tuzla and Bosnia and Herzegovina and successful work on the set tasks during a meeting in Tuzla. Participants were informed about the agenda of the meeting and made amendments, which concerned the notification and agreement on administrative tasks and obligations of participants in the project and a short notice to participants on the establishment BAEKTEL network.
