MEETING SUMMARY – Training and working meeting, IASI, November 6-7, 2014A training and working meeting of the BAEKTEL project took place at the “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iași (TUIASI), Romania, Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Environmental Protection (November 6-7, 2014). It gathered representatives from five academic partners (“Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University, University of Belgrade, University of Kragujevac, University of Niš and University of Tuzla) and NIS.
The first day of the meeting started with “Welcome and greetings from ‘Gheorghe Asachi’ Technical University of Iași” by Prof. dr. ing. Irina Lungu, Vicerector of the institution. Associate prof. dr. Sabin Buraga from “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași, Romania, offered a training presentation entitled "Towards 5-Star Data in the E-university", which tackled the problem of open data. The next presentation, “Advanced educational resources for universities - RoEduNet experience” by prof. dr. Octavian Rusu, director of RoEduNet Romania, gave an ample view of the status of the internet high speed infrastructure used in the Romanian public educational sector. An example of how e-learning and open education resources are already used in a specific context of education was given by associate prof. dr. Adrian Adăscăliței from „Gheorghe Asachi” Techical University in the presentation „Using Open Educational Resources in Higher Education” . Associate prof. Dr. Brândușa Robu from „Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iași (TUIASI) presented the „Open Educational Resources projects in TUIASI” .
The second day of the event, which was a working day, focused on discussions related to the plan for quality assurance (QA) report. It included the presentation „Quality control workplan: how to monitor all activities within the project and generate internal QA reports” made by professor Silvia Curteanu from TUIASI, a short presentation of the project portal, prof. Ivan Obradović, and a discussion related to the identification of the activities for monitoring and control - prof Roberto Linyalone, via a video conference.
